Steven D. Low is a co-organizer of the East: Solo Performance Laboratory. He’s been producing, promoting, and performing solo theater since 2000. His travelogue of a six month road trip through the US, The Yellowfever Express, featured at the San Francisco Fringe Festival. Combining scholarship with autobiography, Chink Monkey, debuted at the Phoenix Theater in San Francisco and explored the intersection of identity and power in interracial relationships.
For 16 years Steven focused on strategic communications and digital marketing in the social and environmental justice fields. Steven was also a lecturer in the Communication Department at San Francisco State University, where he specialized in small group communication, public relations, and solo performance.
